WOYWW - 150

Happy WOYWW...

This is my desk this morning, lots of piles of stuff going on

My husband operates a strict "one-in-one-out" policy when it comes to stamps and craft supplies in general. There are a few bits and pieces I'm after so to make space I'm selling some old stamps on eBay. I've grouped them into sets and stamped them onto white card in Jet Black Archival, I think this shows them off best. Fingers crossed they sell, I've got my eye on some of Tim's new sets...

My craft basket is full of finished tags from various challenges. I did a couple more sessions of Creative Chemistry 101 with paints, love the white acrylic resist and the crackle paint effects. I have also started the new challenge from L3 Studio, working our way through the second Compendium of Curiosities book, one technique at a time; it was custom foam stamps this time.

Thanks for stopping by and please check out the rest of the WOYWW family at Julia's blog

  8. It must be hard for you to sell your stamps, it would kill me to sell my art supplies. Those farm animals are so cute. Love your tags.

  9. Your tags look really good Sophie.
I wish my husband would operate a one-in-one-out policy with his clothes, you should the amount he has, he's worse than a woman.

  15. OMG! One in one out freaks me a little!! Though I can do that with clothes I don't think I could ever do that with stamps or anything else crafting for that matter! Oh! I have gone all of a quivver just thinking about it!!
I see you used your housey die to make stamps - I did this when Linda did this on her Grungey Monday Challenge. I love it and have used it several times for house moving cards!
thanks for visiting and Monkey says Hi!

  16. Super tags! I think I agree with Sam, 1 in 1 out scares me! But perhaps considering the amount of stash I have I should adopt that policy! Though I did have a major sort out and gave my friend and her children huge piles of stamps I don't use, so that counts right? lol Take care & enjoy this weeks WOYWW snoop. Zo xx 17

  17. Thats not fair, I would be telling him he's out LOL Gosh I would be in real trouble if I had to live by that rule. Nope just thinking about it, he needs a life. I do have a private rule with myself that I must throw something out every day, that could be a piece of paper, a toothbrush or even a ....... hhhhmmmm still thinking about that. Tell him to take a long walk. Even when I was in the ARMY and everything had to be on inventory, I didnt have your worries.

Sending you big hugs, coz I think you need one.

  19. Hi Sophie, thanks for your comment,I seem to be doing "catch-up" with replying to posts as I have been at badminton this morning. I don't think my DH has any idea what I buy but it is far less than all the cd's and now records he buys so he doesn't have a leg to stand on - LOL BJ#12

  21. Oh Sophie that seems a little harsh - one in, one out. Mind you I have loads of stamps I could get rid of too as I never use them. Good luck with selling yours.

Your tags look fabulous. I've just finished the first challenge in Tim's new book too. Must check out your custom stamp next :)

Thanks for already visiting my desk this week.

  28. Love your tags! And that's something--working through the Compendium of Curiosities. I've seen that book. That would be so much fun. I thought your desk looked rather sparse, but in a good way (not like bleak at all!). The piles were manageable, which mine are not. I her rustling in mine, could be lost children, although whose children I would have no idea. I'm glad my hubby doesn't have the same policy. If he did I might have to one-out, one-in a new hubby, one that was blind so he couldn't see the piles!

  42. Lovely desk and I think your husband's philosophy has its merits. I think if I bought any more stamps I would soon run out of space, and of course, the old ones just get neglected. Good luck with the sale. Your tags are beautiful. Thanks for stopping by earlier. Hope you have a good week. Elizabeth x #27

  51. some gorgeous stamps - why would you be getting rid of those - but then again 0 I can completely understand - its nice to have something refreshing - pit there is no such thing as a stamp library eh?

Wish you success in selling them all - I love the gardening ones (with the apron) which I suppose you could make into many different ones - gardening, BBQ, butcher, DIY, cook...

    Happy WOYWW

    Thanks for stopping by!

  54. Like Julia, I understand the idea but there is no way I could abide by that rule. I tend to go back to things that I had ages ago, and marry them up with new things. My effort this year is to use up a lot of my stuff rather than to buy new, which is making some inroads. That is satisfying. Thank you for your visit this week. I have just discovered that Blogger changed me on to the new display system all on its own. I have now changed back and double checked the Word Verification bit. Have a good week. xx Maggie #59.
